How Clevis uses cookies and similar technologies on marketing sites and product experiences.
How Clevis uses them
Essential cookies support sign-in, security, load balancing, and remembering critical preferences. The product may not work correctly without them.
Clevis uses PostHog as an optional product analytics provider. When you choose Accept analytics, PostHog helps us understand normalized page journeys, onboarding progress, workspace and project navigation, integration connection outcomes, agent run outcomes, checkout starts, feature flag variants, surveys, and sanitized frontend error categories. We use the EU PostHog Cloud region for ingestion.
Analytics may use a stable Clevis user UUID after sign-in and a workspace UUID group for workspace reporting. We do not send prompts, chat content, model output, tool inputs or results, document or file names, project names or numbers, contact data, billing details, or direct identifiers to PostHog.
PostHog analytics is loaded only after an affirmative analytics choice. Session recording is explicitly disabled, and autocapture is disabled. Browser surveys accept only bounded choice or rating values. Free-text survey responses remain disabled. Clevis does not create a live survey or experiment from the browser. Feature flags and experiments have application-defined fallbacks when analytics is unavailable.
Clevis may use cookieless browser Sentry for strictly diagnostic error reporting. Sentry replay, performance tracing, advertising identifiers, direct identifiers, and Customer Content are disabled by the application configuration. Browser Sentry is operational monitoring, not optional product analytics, and is not controlled by the PostHog analytics choice.
Marketing cookies may be used on public sites to measure campaign effectiveness. They are optional where the law requires choice.
Your choices
Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may affect sign-in or core product features.
The first visit offers equal Reject analytics and Accept analytics choices. The essential first-party Clevis analytics consent cookie stores the schema version and decision for 180 days. Use Cookie preferences on the marketing site to reopen the form. Rejecting or revoking analytics opts out of capture, resets the PostHog identity and workspace group, and clears PostHog-managed non-essential persistence where supported.
PostHog retention
PostHog may retain accepted analytics according to the configured Clevis PostHog Cloud project settings and PostHog’s then-current terms and documentation. Clevis does not represent that the browser consent cookie changes the provider’s server-side retention period. Contact [email protected] for questions about this product analytics use.
